Microsoft has introduce a new function that allows sending a particularly high volume of emails for Exchange accounts in Microsoft 365. This service, call High Volume Email, has been in preview since March 2024, and its official rollout began in September 2024.
What is High Volume Email (HVE)?
HVE (High Volume Email) is a special feature in Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online design to send large volumes of email without emerging trends among leading content marketing companies impacting performance. It is ideal for sending bulk emails such as marketing messages, updates, or transactional emails. The feature allows you to add up to 20 High Volume Email accounts and is intend for organizations that need to send large volumes of email.
Prerequisites
For the HVE service to function properly, the following conditions must be met:

- SMTP-Authentication : Enabling SMTP-Authentication in the client account is require for HVE.

- Microsoft description: The HVE service is design primarily for internal mass communications.
- Number of PDB accounts: Maximum of 20 PDB accounts.
- Message limit: Up to 50 recipients per message.
- Licensing: HVE accounts are dedicate email user accounts and therefore do not require licensing.
